Now that the Can. dollar is worth more than the U.S. dollar, we can estimate prices in both countries. Well, food is cheaper, gas is cheaper and healthcare is more expensive in the U.S. It is also warmer down there (pretty important). They have a terrible government and we have an inept one. If you are an idiot, you can smoke Marijuana up here and let it all hang out if you are a homosexual, and you don't go to jail . Otherwise there is not much difference except we stand on guard for thee and they God bless America. They have the Sopranos and we have Cornergas. They cheat us on softwood lumber and we pretend we are helping them in Afghanistan. There will be a show-down soon when they send their first ship through the North West Passage, Canada's sovereign territory. What is Canada going to do? Probably send out an Inuit dog-team to bark at them. The real truth is: Canada is completely controlled by the United States. The armed forces are integrated. So is the economy and the entertainment industry and almost everything else. If we threatened to cut off oil gas or water, a couple of tanks nosing over the border would have Canadians waving white flags. Our government lags behind a bit in theU.S's bidding but ends up doing what Washington wants. In fact the only part of Canada which has any aspect of sovereignty is Quebec. They are the hold-outs, but the rest of Canada hates them for it. That doesn't answer the question why Canadians don't want to be Americans. Maybe we are just stubborn.

The US embassy in Baghdad has suspended all diplomatic convoys outside the heavily fortified Green Zone and the rest of Iraq.

The move comes as the Iraqi government said it would review the status of all private security companies working in the country following a deadly shooting on Sunday involving guards from the US firm Blackwater.The government announced the investigation on Tuesday, after the interior ministry decided to "halt the licence" of Blackwater, which provides security to US diplomats in Iraq. Multi-national companies as private firms are operating many prisons in the U.S. and elsewhere. These companies control almost all the port facilities in the United States. Last year Bush was pushing for a private Arab firm (associated with his family and the Bin Laden family,) to take over these port facilities from other foreign firms. This was blocked by congress, which considered that terrorists from the Middle East could send shipping containers with nuclear bombs to every main port city in the United States. It still could be done because only a small fraction of incoming containers are checked. The British Government has been considering the likelihood of foot and mouth disease being spread on purpose by terrorists. The Australian government is worried the same thing will happen in the cattle industry as a retaliation for Australia's intrusive military role supporting the American occupation of Iraq. It was suggested that foot and mouth disease microbes could be hidden in a condom and smuggled into Australia via the human anal passage.

Ali al-Dabbagh, a government spokesman, announced the decision "to review the operations of foreign and local security companies in Iraq".

He said: "This came after the flagrant assault conducted by members of the American security company Blackwater against Iraqi citizens."

In a notice sent to Americans in Iraq, the US embassy said it had acted to review the security of its personnel and possible increased threats to those leaving the Green Zone while accompanied by security details after the weekend killing of Iraqi civilians involving Blackwater guards.

"In light of a serious security incident involving a US embassy protective detail in the Mansour District of Baghdad, the embassy has suspended official US government civilian ground movements outside the International Zone [Green)
