Don't you give a damn?
Why U.S.A. lacks Credibility.
Multinationals are Beyond Government Control
Corporate Athleticism*
Globalisation has led to the emergence of commercial companies that have transcended nationality. From an economic point of view "the essence of globalization is the construction of a global capitalist economy, which is geared to the interests of transnational corporations and substantially reduces the power of the state, particularly its ability to transform the social structure" [Heywood (2003)4]. Prof. Alston states authoritively (2005) that international law's capacity to adequately regulate multinationals "lags considerably behind the social and economic realities of globalized production and trade"5.
“Existing domestic and international legal mechanisms are, to a considerable extent, unable to ensure that their enforcement of human rights obligations is effective when it comes to the activities of TNCs”"Non-State Actors and Human Rights" by Prof. Alston (2005)5

Why they are cruel.
If you read the old
testament of the Jews you will notice that the God they follow tells them to do all kinds of cruel and inhuman acts towards others. It is in this tradition that modern Israel bombed and shot civilians including infants. The following are some of the acts they are persuaded to do by God:
GE 4:2-8 God's arbitrary preference of Abel's offering to that of Cain's provokes Cain to commit the first biblically recorded murder and kill his brother Abel.
GE 34:13-29 The Israelites kill Hamor, his son, and all the men of their village, taking as plunder their wealth, cattle, wives and children.
GE 6:11-17, 7:11-24 God is unhappy with the wickedness of man and decides to do something about it. He kills every living thing on the face of the earth other than Noah's family and thereby makes himself the greatest mass murderer in history.
GE 19:26 God personally sees to it that Lot's wife is turned to a pillar of salt (for having looked behind her while fleeing the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah).
GE 38:9 "... whenever he lay with his brother's wife, he spilled his semen on the ground to keep from producing offspring for his brother. What he did was wicked ..., so the Lord put him to death."
EX 2:12 Moses murders an Egyptian.
EX 7:1, 14, 9:14-16, 10:1-2, 11:7 The purpose of the devastation that God brings to the Egyptians is as follows: to show that he is Lord; to show that there is none like him in all the earth; to show his great power; to cause his name to be declared throughout the earth; to give the Israelites something to talk about with their children; to show that he makes a distinction between Israel and Egypt.
EX 9:22-25 A plague of hail from the Lord strikes down everything in the fields of Egypt both man and beast except in Goshen where the Israelites reside.
EX 12:29 The Lord kills all the first-born in the land of Egypt.
EX 17:13 With the Lord's approval, Joshua mows down Amalek and his people.
EX 21:20-21 With the Lord's approval, a slave may be beaten to death with no punishment for the perpetrator as long as the slave doesn't die too quickly.
EX 32:27 "Put every man his sword by his side, and go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbor.
EX 32:27-29 With the Lord's approval, the Israelites slay 3000 men.
LE 26:7-8 The Lord promises the Israelites that, if they are obedient, their enemies will "fall before your sword."
LE 26:22 "I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children."
LE 26:29, DT 28:53, JE 19:9, EZ 5:8-10 As a punishment, the Lord will cause people to eat the flesh of their own sons and daughters and fathers and friends.

Activist raid finds pigs 'eaten alive' by maggots
By Tasmanian Stateline presenter Airlie Ward
Posted Fri May 8, 2009 5:00pm AEST Updated
A piggery operator in Tasmania has been charged with cruelty offences after animals were found in squalid conditions and infested with maggots.
The farm in northern Tasmania was raided and filmed by an animal welfare activist earlier this year.
Emma Haswell reported her concerns to the RSPCA which told her it would not inspect the farm.
Ms Haswell then called the police and told them she had trespassed.
Police charged the owner of the piggery with several animal cruelty offences and he will appear in court in Scottsdale next week.
The piggery is one of Tasmania's biggest and is also a supplier to the self-proclaimed Fresh Food People, supermarket giant Woolworths.
Ms Haswell said she was appalled at what she saw, including a sow infested with maggots.
"She can't move, she's lying in faeces, mud and maggots," she said.
"I would never have imagined I'd find an animal in this condition. She's being eaten alive."
"The first thing I saw was an Australian Quality Assured pork sign on the entrance to the farm.
"The first thing that stood out to me, obviously the smell and the squalor, the flies, the maggots.
Squalid conditions
"There were open drains everywhere that were seething with maggots.
"There were emaciated sows in stalls that couldn't move, they had wounds on them, they had enormous abscesses that meant their legs were two or three times the normal size, she said.
The activist called the RSPCA's chief executive Greg Tredinnick who told her to ring police because the organisation did not operate on weekends.
Animals Australia's executive director Glenys Oojes says that in almost three decades working in animal welfare she has never seen anything like it.
"The poor pig with maggots infested in the wound was honestly the worst thing I've ever seen," she said.
The piggery is a supplier to Woolworths, but did not have industry accreditation.
The supermarket chain says it has given the operator a list of improvements.
A statement released by Woolworths said:
"Woolworths responded immediately upon being informed with our head livestock buyer arriving in Tasmania within 48 hours to investigate the allegations."
"We were not happy with the conditions on the farm and provided the supplier with a list of improvements to be met"
Woolworths says it is visiting the farm every fortnight.
Attempts were made to contact the farm owner but calls were not returned.
Australian Pork Industry spokesman Andrew Spencer says he was horrified by the images.
"The farm is not accredited and we'll be working with Woolworths to make sure that they have confidence in the ongoing supply of the products," he said.

I stood beside the road with a traveling backpack and a yarmulke, my arm extended, hitchhiking to the junction from Ramat Raziel to catch a bus home. I was singing Lev Tahor, a verse from Psalm 51 meaning "pure heart" that I'd been singing all Sabbath long. A car stopped, and a bearded man in a knit yarmulke picked me up. As I entered his car, he turned to me: "I'm Oren. So, where you going?" Damn. I'd begun to hate this question, especially when asked by religious people. "Kibbutz Lahav," I answered, expecting a gasp. Unfazed, he further inquired, "And what do you do there?" Again, I hesitated, this time with dread. "Uh, well... I work on their pig farm."
And just like that, I managed to overwhelm and confuse Oren, as well as myself, while simultaneously expressing the contradiction that pig farming in Israel played in my life for the two months I spent working at Kibbutz Lahav. Luckily, Oren was an open-minded man whose parting words to me were: "God put you on the pork farm for a reason."
The kibbutz and its pigs sit comfortably in the northern Negev, just 30 minutes north of Beersheba, surrounded by the Lahav forest, Israel's largest manmade woodlands. Pine trees, scattered acorns and orderly planted "wild" grasses and flowers seem somewhat out of place in the desert hills. The iconoclastic kibbutz similarly appears incongruous in a Jewish part of a Jewish country, next door to religious Kibbutz Shomeriya. As I learned over the course of two months, though, the kibbutz, just like the forest, fits into the complex web of Israeli and Jewish identity in more ways than one.
Do Jewish people eat pork? I went to summer camp years ago with a lot of Jewish kids, who ate the ham; no milkBest Answer - Chosen by AskerI think you just answered your own question. Lots of Jews, unfortunately, eat pork. The vast majority of Jews do not keep kosher, even if they consider pork "taboo". Going to a non-kosher restaurant and having chicken is no more kosher than eating a thick slab of ham. Treyf is treyf. Religiously-observant Jews, however, do not eat pork, as Judaism forbids it. As for the "no milk" thing, um, well, Judaism prohibits the consumption of meat and dairy products at the same time. But since they were eating ham, I doubt that was the issue. The Jewish kids at your camp were probably just lactose intolerant, or, maybe they just didn't like milk. I can pretty much guarantee you it had nothing to do with them being Jewish. | |||

US-led air strikes killed dozens of Afghans, including women and children, the Red Cross said today as the Pentagon launched a joint investigation into what appeared to be one of the heaviest civilian death tolls at the hands of coalition forces.
Rohul Amin, the governor of Farah province in western Afghanistan, where the bombing took place during a battle on Monday and Tuesday, said he feared 100 civilians had been killed.
The provincial police chief, Abdul Ghafar Watandar, who accused the Taliban of using the civilians as human shields, said the death toll could be even higher. If confirmed, those figures could make the strike the single most deadliest for Afghan civilians since the opening of the campaign to topple the Taliban in 2001.
Jessica Barry, a spokeswoman for the International Committee of the Red Cross, said one of its teams reached the scene of the air strikes yesterday afternoon.
"There were women and there were children who were killed. It seemed they were trying to shelter in houses when they were hit," she said.
The team saw destroyed houses and dozens of dead bodies, providing the first international confirmation of the incident. Among those killed was a first aid volunteer for Afghanistan's Red Crescent, who died along with 13 members of his family, Barry said.

Gropecunt Lane
Gropecunt Lane was a name used in Oxford, London and other Englishtowns and cities in the Middle Ages for streets where prostitutes conducted their business. The name derives from cunt, the Middle English term forfemale genitalia, and the act of groping. There was also a Gropecunt Lane inDublin, Ireland near where the Savoy Cinema is now. Later sensibilities changed many names of streets bearing this name to more polite variations. In London, the street that was Gropecunt Lane was near the present-day site of the Barbican Centre in the City of London. The street was called Grub Street in the 18th century, but renamed Milton Street in 1830 . Another street with a similar history in Southwark is Horselydown Lane ("whores lie down"), which is just to the south of Tower Bridge, and was also the site of the famousAnchor Brewhouse.

We come in Third with Williams.
Williams
is a patronymic form of the name William that originated in medieval England[2] and later came to be extremely popular in Wales. The meaning is derived from son or descendant of Guillemin, the French form of William. Derived from an Old French given name with Germanicelements; will = desire, will; and helm = helmet, protection.[3] It is the second most common surname in Wales and the third most common surname in the whole of the United Kingdom, the third most common in the United States of America and Australia and the fifth most common inNew Zealand.[4]Old Harry Williams was asked how was it that the long list of Williams lead by far those of Nash over the last couple of hundred years.
"Well, let's see.Them Nashes they was more posh and they kept the family bible, so we lot had nothing to read at night. There was no T.V. in them days, and we didn't want to waste candles, so we used to all jump in bed together and make more Williams's."

Australia. The first fleet sailed from England in 1787 carrying marine William Nash and his common law wife Maria Haynes. They were the progenitors of an extensive Nash family in Australia. Another early settler was Andrew Nash. He had acquired the Woolpack Inn in Parramatta in 1821 and became well-known for the prowess of his racehorses. A later settler from Wiltshire was James Nash. He discovered gold along the Mary river in Queenland and helped precipitate the second Australian gold rush.
There were also Nash convicts in Australia. Some thrived; Robert Nash, transported on the Albemarle in 1791; John Nash on the Eleanor in 1831; and Michael Nash from Limerick, on the Rodney in 1851.

*The echidna is such a unique animal that it is classified in a special class of mammals known asmonotremes, which it shares only with the platypus. The echidna lays eggs like a duck but suckles its young in a pouch like a kangaroo. For no apparent reason, it may decide to conserve energy by dropping its body temperature to 4 degrees and remain at that temperature from 4 to 120 days. Lab experiments have shown that the echidna is more intelligent that a cat and it has been seen using its spikes, feet and beaks to climb up crevices like a mountaineer edging up a rock chimney.
